Favorite Manga List

The Hour of the Mice:

A highly psychological manga, this raises many philosophical questions about the nature of life, love, and safety, and you will find yourself thinking about it for a while after reading it. While not very action heavy, I found myself completely involved in the story and read the four volumes in a single sitting. A good read for anyone wanting a good, philosophical story.

The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer:

I admit, I only ever read this story because of how insane the title was. However, I soon found that I could not stop reading the story. The characters were incredibly well developed, the action was fun, but still felt dangerous, and the story was surprisingly good. And then chapter 14 happened. Suddenly, everything in the story comes together, and we are treated with one of the greatest coming of age stories told in a long time. Highly recommended.

Onani Master Kurosawa:

Okay, so disclaimer first, this story starts out as a parody of “Death Note,” only with fapping… This story was highly recommended to me by three people, and finally I gave into reading it. Soon, I found myself reading a story that goes from kind of raunchy parody to one of the most heartwarming and powerful stories I have ever read. If you are afraid of this manga, please, read it. You will not be disappointed.

Vagabond:

A historical manga about the famous samurai Miyamoto Musashi, this manga is beautiful. The artwork starts off as unbelievable, and only becomes more and more amazing. The story is incredibly detailed, with characters developing believably and subtly, until you find people that could almost literally jump off the page. Even the fight scenes are beautiful, fluid and realistic, gritty and incredible, and I truly believe that there is no other series that has fight scenes that can compare to the beauty of these. Long story short, this deserves to be read.

Shin Angyo Onshi:

My favorite manga of all time, this series has it all. Art, fantasy, action, characters, and twists that are close to unrivaled, I read all of these chapters in a week, and have read them all again and again. This is a manga that is hard to describe, but worth every second, and if you get anything from this post, let it be this: Read this manga. You will love it.
